Dr. Benson Odongo joined AICAD in 2007 as the Director of (R&D). Before joining AICAD, he worked at the Uganda National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO), at the National Crops Resources Research Institute (NaCRRI) at Namulonge and at National Semi-Arid Resources Research Institute (NaSARRI) at Serere Institutes as a Senior Research Officer. He holds a PhD (Purdue University, USA) a  Masters of Philosophy in Entomology, and a Bachelor of Science  degree in Botany/Zoology. At AICAD, he is responsible for spearheading the Research and Development Division.His responsibilities entail, among others, managing projects, and fostering linkage with universities, research institutes, and other organizations whose objectives are to address poverty through capacity development.
