Tanzania Country Office

Background Information

AICAD Tanzania Country Office is situated at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) Main Campus in the buildings housing the SUA Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SCSRD). SUA is in Morogoro Township, which is 200 km south-west of Dar es Salaam. AICAD works with development partners, such as, Tanzania Agricultural Research Organization, and Small Industries Development Organisation (SIDO) local government and affiliated universities.

Mandate and Management of Activities

Tanzania Country Office coordinates its activities around the three core functions of AICAD; - Training and Extension, Research and Development and Information Network&Documentation . The activities of the country office in collaboration with the three functions are geared toward linking knowledge to application within communities in order to reduce poverty in Tanzania.
